This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
What personal data we collect
We only collect what you give us and what our systems need to operate:
- Your email address — when you join the founding list using the sign-up form.
- Basic technical data — such as your IP address and browser type, processed by our hosting provider in standard server logs as part of running the website securely.
We do not ask for, or intentionally collect, any other personal information.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your email address to contact you about The BSR Brief — to tell you when it launches, share founding-member updates, and confirm your founding rate. Our lawful basis for this is your consent, which you give by joining the founding list. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see “Your rights” below), and every email we send will include an unsubscribe link.
Basic technical data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests in keeping the website running and secure.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data or share it for anyone else’s marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers (“processors”) to run the service:
- Web3Forms — processes the sign-up form. When you submit the form, your email address is sent to Web3Forms, which forwards it to us and stores it for a limited period. Web3Forms is based in the United States.
- Hostinger — hosts this website and may process basic technical data (such as IP addresses) in server logs.
- An email delivery provider — when we send you updates, we may use a third-party email service to deliver them.
International transfers
Because Web3Forms is based in the United States, your email address may be transferred outside the UK when you sign up. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the provider’s data-protection terms and recognised transfer mechanisms) to keep it protected.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address for as long as you remain on the founding list. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we will remove it from our active records. If the founding list is closed and the data is no longer needed, we will delete it.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics, or third-party advertising or tracking scripts. Because of this, no cookie consent banner is required to browse the site.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you (access);
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- have your data deleted (erasure);
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time.

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so please do contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
